The Sunrise Community Resource Center (SCRC) is a comprehensive resource hub designed to meet the physical, social, and developmental needs of families across Arenac County and surrounding communities that is home to the Central Michigan District Health Department and several other essential resources.

Established in 2024, the center was revitalized when the Michigan Health Improvement Alliance (MiHIA) partnered with the Standish-Sterling Community School District to work directly with the community to renovate and operate the center following its receipt of a Community Center Grant from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.

MiHIA serves as the fiscal manager for the SCRC and employs a part-time operations director to manage day-to-day activities, facility rentals, and general center oversight. A community-led steering team collaborates with MiHIA to create a long-term strategy, budget, and governance structure to ensure the center remains sustainable into the future.

The Sunrise Community Resource Center grounds include a pavilion, basketball court, pickleball court, octoball court, walking path, and two playgrounds. It is also home to the SSC Education Youth Soccer program and the Arenac County Youth Flag Football program.
