Who’s at the SCRC
The Central Michigan District Health Department relocated to the SCRC in 2025 after renovations were completed in the southeast portion of the building. Our anchor tenant, the CMDHD provides Arenac County residents with expanded health services including immunizations, WIC, sexual health education, environmental health programs, and emergency preparedness. Their Community Connections program uses Community Health Workers to ensure residents’ social determinants of health are addressed, making the SCRC a hub for accessible, holistic care.
Allison’s Adventures Early Childhood and Education Center moved to the SCRC in 2026 and provides high-quality childcare and early education for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a collaborative, resource-rich environment.
Sponsored by the Arenac County Child Protection Council, the Arenac County Baby Pantry provides diapers, formula, clothing, and other supplies for infants through age 5. This volunteer-run nonprofit also hosts an annual community baby shower that provides community resources and educational classes for expectant families.
The PAES Lab (Practical Assessment Exploration System) is a research-based, simulated work environment used to assess and train individuals, including students with disabilities, for future employment. This hands-on career exploration lab is a unique collaboration between Bay-Arenac ISD Special Education, Standish-Sterling Community School District, and Do-All, Inc., and connects participants to job placement and ongoing support, making the lab a powerful tool for inclusive workforce development.
The Bay-Arenac Community High School – North Campus provides students with an alternative approach to graduate from high school and become successful community members.
The Disability Network exists to support the determination of individuals with disabilities to lead dignified, independent lives, and to heighten community awareness of those physical and social barriers which restrict independence.
